Counselling provides a safe, quiet, and confidential space for you to ‘be’, and for you to think about and talk about how you are; your feelings, thoughts, behaviours and life situation.
I will not be judging you and will accept you for who you are with care, warmth and empathy.
Counselling can feel difficult at times, particularly at the start. The prospect of ‘offloading’ all of our struggles can naturally feel daunting and overwhelming. It takes courage, but I will be alongside you, supporting you.
Read my blog post, How Therapy Helps, for more insight.

Privacy and confidentiality are a fundamental part of the counselling process.
I adhere to the BACP Ethical Framework for confidentiality and follow all professional standards.
Before your first session, you will receive a ‘therapy agreement’ that informs you about confidentiality in more detail.

It is very difficult to be able to guarantee that you will experience change or a relief in your symptoms in a certain amount of time.
Partly, the length of your therapy will depend on what you’ve come to counselling for.
We will work week by week and I will often suggest we review where we are in relation to how you’re feeling and what you came for.
You will know when it feels like the right time to end and we will discuss this and work towards this so it does not feel too abrupt.

Sessions last for 50 minutes.
Sessions will end promptly to allow me time to process our work, write up any notes and to prepare for my next client.

Please contact me.
Complete the ‘contact me’ form here, make an online booking (if you are looking for a face-to-face session and are a self-funding client) here, or send me an email.
Phone calls are more tricky due to my schedule, but we can book one if that is your preference.
I will come back to you to offer my availability. Once we have arranged an initial session, you will receive an email from me.
The email will include a registration form and a therapy agreement, both of which can be completed/signed online. I will also send location details if you are seeing me face-to-face.

Counselling is such a unique process for each client, and the therapist-client relationship is unique, too.
I have several testimonials you can read here. Although they are unique to those particular clients, they do help to offer information about how others have been helped by counselling and by me.
